I began my dog training journey six years ago after getting my dog Bruce from a puppy mill and realizing how limited the available training information was. Bruce struggled with intense fear and had no motivation for food, which made training incredibly difficult. That’s when I discovered a play-based training approach — and the results were immediate. Bruce became highly motivated, learning was easy and fun, and everything changed. I stopped seeing obedience as just a list of behaviors. Instead, I started focusing on the relationship, emotional well-being, and fulfillment of the dog — and that has shaped how I train ever since.
